Child Dedication

At Sunrise Community Church, we practice child dedications instead of baby baptisms because we believe that baptism is the outward symbol of an inward spiritual transformation. This transformation occurs when an individual personally believes in Jesus as their Lord and Savior, understanding who He is and what He accomplished on the cross. Since infants and young children are unable to grasp these concepts, we dedicate them to God, praying that, in God's timing, they will come to faith in Jesus as they grow in understanding.
